AI Transformation Project Manager & AI Evangelist

We are seeking a highly experienced AI Transformation Project Manager & AI Evangelist with 10+ years of experience in E-commerce and Retail transformation programs. This role combines strategic AI leadership, business transformation, and program delivery. The successful candidate will drive AI adoption across the organisation, define and operationalise AI strategies, and lead the successful delivery of AI, Generative AI, and Agentic AI initiatives that create measurable business value. Engagement Details - Contract Type: Outside IR35 - Hybrid Working Model: 3 Days in London office (Highbury & Islington) and 2 days remote. - Daily Rate: £425 per day - Domain: E-commerce & Retail AI Evangelism & Strategy Leadership - Act as the organisation's AI Evangelist, promoting AI awareness, education, and adoption across business functions. - Develop and communicate a practical AI vision aligned with business objectives. - Identify and prioritise AI use cases across merchandising, customer service, supply chain, finance, loyalty, and digital commerce. - Build executive-level business cases demonstrating ROI and value from AI investments. - Drive organisational readiness for AI-enabled operating models. AI & Agentic AI Expertise - Strong understanding of AI fundamentals including Machine Learning, Generative AI, LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Intelligent Automation. - Practical understanding of Agentic AI concepts including autonomous agents, orchestration frameworks, multi-agent systems, workflow automation, and human- in-the-loop controls. - Evaluate AI technologies, platforms, and vendors to support business objectives. - Ensure AI solutions are implemented responsibly with appropriate governance, security, and compliance controls. AI Operating Model & Delivery - Design and implement scalable AI operating models, governance frameworks, and delivery processes. - Demonstrated experience running successful AI programs and transformation initiatives in recent years. - Establish AI Centres of Excellence (CoE), operating procedures, adoption frameworks, and value tracking mechanisms. - Lead cross-functional teams delivering AI products from ideation through production deployment. - Define success metrics, KPIs, and adoption measures for AI initiatives. Business Transformation & Stakeholder Engagement - Lead business process transformation initiatives during eCommerce platform and operating model changes. - Work closely with Finance, Customer Services, Warehouse Management, Website Merchandising, and Customer Loyalty teams. - Facilitate executive workshops, strategy sessions, and steering committees. - Translate business objectives into actionable AI-enabled transformation roadmaps. Program Management Responsibilities - Manage program scope, budgets, timelines, risks, dependencies, and governance. - Coordinate architects, data teams, engineering teams, business analysts, and external partners. - Drive Agile and hybrid delivery methodologies. - Ensure successful change management, adoption, training, and business readiness. Required Skills & Experience - 10+ years of Project Management, Transformation, or Program Leadership experience. - Strong E-commerce and Retail domain expertise. - Proven track record of successfully delivering AI, Generative AI, Data, Analytics, or Automation initiatives. - Strong understanding of AI fundamentals and Agentic AI concepts. - Experience establishing AI operating models and governance frameworks. - Excellent stakeholder management, communication, leadership, and influencing skills. - Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align AI investments to business outcomes.
